I had a hard and unforgiving childhood, full of betrayal and anger and I use writing as a means of coping with that…

Nah, I’m just kidding. I had a great childhood. I distinctly remember my mother putting Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief in my hands at the age of ten and telling me to read it. Now, up until then, reading had generally been a painful experience, full of much whining and, I’m afraid to say, tears; however, for whatever reason, I decided to give this new book a try and was soon pulled in. 

I would like to pretend I immediately began writing as a child and have a whole stack of unreleased manuscripts, but that wouldn’t be the truth. It wasn’t until my second year of college I finally sat down and attempted something in earnest. The result was a clunky, unforgiving, and down right awkward book that took me over one and half years to complete, but I did it and am now on to better things.

My vision is to create mature stories that are still accessible to all ages. One thing that plagued me growing up was finding a motivating book, only to discover it was rife with sexually explicit material, crass language, and all other manner of foul content. That’s not what I want in a book, and that’s something you’ll never find in mine. It’s not that these subjects are ignored, but a wonderful part of being an author is discovering you can address a whole host of issues without getting dirty yourself.

Anyways, rant over. I hope you enjoy my books as much as I’ve enjoyed writing them.
